Two Russian ballistic missiles and 24 drones were shot down over Ukraine.

On the night of January 18th, Ukrainian air defense shot down two Russian ballistic missiles, Iskander/KN-23, along with 24 drones that were used by Russia to attack Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Air Forces reported this information.

In total, Russian forces launched 39 drones and four ballistic missiles.

The drones were intercepted in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Donetsk regions, while the missiles were intercepted in the Kyiv region.

14 Russian UAVs disappeared from radar without causing any damage.

Consequences of the Attack

The downed ballistic missiles fell in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv. There, a production building of a company was partially destroyed, homes were damaged, the entrance to the metro station "Lukyanivska," cars, and a main water pipeline were affected.

A total of four people died in the attack on the capital. Three others were injured.

Additionally, the Russians attacked a facility in Zaporizhzhia with ballistic missiles, hitting the city center. Homes and vehicles were damaged, and there are ten injured individuals.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, the Russians struck an industrial enterprise in Pavlohrad with a "Shahed," causing destruction. A fire broke out there, but the firefighters have already extinguished it.
