This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
According to the investigation, the owner of a Ukrainian construction materials manufacturing company is involved in organizing the scheme.
It has been established that after the onset of the full-scale war, representatives of the factory shipped a large batch of finished stainless steel profiles to Russia.
The SBU indicates that the Russians used Ukrainian metal products to equip office spaces at the Russian Institute of Nuclear Research. At this facility, they are developing projects for new types of missile weapons with nuclear warheads.
To conceal the international shipments, the traffickers initially sent the goods to a controlled company in the Middle East, and from there, they re-exported them to Russian clients.
According to the investigation, the chief accountant of the Ukrainian enterprise managed the financial records of both companies.
During the searches, mobile phones, computer equipment, and documentation containing evidence of criminal activities in favor of Russia were found.
The owner of the manufacturing enterprise and three of his subordinates have been notified of suspicion under part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — aiding a state-aggressor. They face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
