Overall, city council members do not often show initiative
Journalists from the YouTube project “In the Shadow of the Chestnut” analyzed which members of the factions that make up the majority in the Kyiv City Council proposed the highest number of draft resolutions over the past year.
In total, the Kyiv City Council adopted 2534 resolutions in 2024. The most proactive “lawmakers” among the majority deputies were:
- Dmytro Bilotserkovets (“UDAR”) – 15 draft resolutions;
- Valentyn Mondryiyskyi (“UDAR”) – 11;
- Volodymyr Prokopiv (“European Solidarity”) – 11;
- Ludmyla Kovalievska (“European Solidarity”) – 9;
- Leonid Yemets (“European Solidarity”) – 8.
