Russian authorities have destroyed a Tu-134 aircraft used to transport officials from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

On the night of October 13, a military transport aircraft, the Tu-134, caught fire at the Russian military airfield "Orenburg-2."

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The aircraft belonged to the 117th military transport aviation regiment of the Russian Armed Forces. The Tu-134 is used, among other things, for transporting officials of the Russian Ministry of Defense, according to the GUR.

As a reminder, on September 11, during one of the operations, fighters from the Main Intelligence Directorate destroyed a Russian Su-30SM fighter in the waters of the Black Sea. It was shot down using a portable air defense missile system.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the onset of the full-scale invasion, the Defense Forces have already destroyed 369 Russian aircraft.
