The General Staff confirmed an attack on the Ryazan Oil Refinery, reporting at least five explosions.

Ukrainian forces targeted the Ryazan Oil Refinery in the Ryazan region of Russia on the night of February 24, which has been involved in supporting the occupying army. Additionally, an oil depot in the Tula region was also struck.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this information.

The operation was carried out by units of the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense in collaboration with other defense units.

There are reports of at least 5 explosions in the target area. Preliminary information indicates that a fire broke out near the primary oil processing facility ELOU AT-6. The details of the damage are still being clarified.

Additionally, the day before, the UAV units struck an oil depot, leading to a fire at the FGKU plant "March 8" in the Tula region of Russia.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia reported the destruction of 23 drones. Specifically, 16 UAVs were shot down over the territory of the Oryol region, while the others were downed over the Bryansk and Ryazan regions of Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This marks the third time the Ryazan Oil Refinery has come under drone attack since the beginning of 2025. In total, 27 fuel and energy facilities in 16 regions of Russia have been targeted since the start of the year, as calculated by the Telegram channel Astra.
