If Trump invites other countries for talks on the Ukraine war, Poland must be present, according to Duda.

Polish President Andrzej Duda stated that if Donald Trump facilitates negotiations between Russia and Ukraine and invites other countries to participate, Poland should be among them.
Дуда заявил, что если Трамп соберет другие страны для обсуждения войны в Украине, Польша должна участвовать в переговорах.

He stated this in an interview with the Financial Times.

According to Duda, Poland's involvement in the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations is in the interest of his country.

“If we look at the revived Russian imperialism, in this specific case, Polish and Ukrainian interests align”, the President of Poland explained.

At the same time, Duda expressed his opposition to sending Western troops to Ukraine. He clarified that Poland is “constantly helping” Ukraine by supplying weapons and serving as a logistical hub for military and humanitarian aid.

Therefore, Duda continued, Poland “is the most vulnerable to potential Russian attacks”.

“We will continue to support Ukraine in the future because it is necessary. We do not necessarily have to deploy our troops there”, he added.

Additionally, Andrzej Duda emphasized that even after the war in Ukraine concludes, it is crucial to provide support for economic recovery and “maintaining order and security” within the country.
