The EU is ready to lead support for Ukraine if the US withdraws from it, according to Kallas.

This was stated by the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, as reported by Politico.

She also emphasized that Europe should not speculate about future support from the United States. At the same time, Kallas believes that Washington is not interested in having Russia become a “strongest power in the world”.

According to Politico, Donald Trump's remarks that he “understands” Russia's concerns regarding Ukraine's NATO membership surprised many supporters of Ukraine.
