Drones have attacked Engels in Russia, causing a fire at an oil depot.

On the night of January 8, the city of Engels, located in the Saratov region of Russia, was attacked by drones. Initial reports suggest that they struck a local oil depot.

The governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, reported on the shelling of the city.

According to him, as a result of the attack on Saratov and Engels, one of the industrial enterprises was damaged, allegedly due to falling debris from drones. Fortunately, no one was injured in the attack.

Meanwhile, reports circulating online indicate that the "Kristall" oil refinery, owned by "Rosrezerv," came under drone fire. Locals claim that at least five explosions were heard.

In the meantime, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that overnight, their air defense allegedly shot down 32 drones, supposedly Ukrainian, with 11 of them downed within the Saratov region.
