Former spokesperson of the Southern Defense Forces, Gumenyuk, is back in the news. She is now serving in the psychological support unit for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A segment aired on the "We are Ukraine" TV channel about a rehabilitation center in the Carpathians, where Ukrainian military personnel undergo therapeutic courses as part of the psychological recovery program for soldiers and their families.

The report features soldiers and their wives, with comments provided by Gumenyuk.

It was she who spoke about the activities of the rehabilitation center, rather than specialists from the center or patrons who initiated its establishment, noted "Detector Media".

The colonel herself shared this segment on Facebook with the caption "An important part of today's work. Rehabilitation of soldiers in the Carpathians."

It is unclear when Gumenyuk was appointed to her new position.

Why was her dismissal requested?

In April, members of the Media Movement, journalists, and media appealed to the military leadership to remove Natalia Gumenyuk from managing the unified press center of the operational command "South", explaining that she obstructs the coverage of Russian crimes and prevents journalists from showcasing the heroism of defenders in the Kherson region.

On April 19, Gumenyuk was dismissed. It is worth noting that since her dismissal, issues regarding the coverage of the situation in the south have not significantly changed. This area remains one of the most restricted for journalists.

Subsequently, she was reinstated in the OC "South". After that, she was dismissed again and it was promised that she would be transferred to a position unrelated to media interactions.
