The accused in the apartment fraud case has agreed to transfer over 800,000 hryvnias to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and to expose her accomplices. The property has been returned to its rightful owners.

The court has approved a plea agreement between the prosecutor and the accused in the fraud case, which stipulates that over 800,000 hryvnias will be donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine (the UNITED24 project – Army of Drones).

As reported by Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, during the investigation, it was established that the accused, along with accomplices who posed as the owners of other people's apartments, certified powers of attorney with private notaries in Kharkiv, which authorized them to manage the property of the real owners in the capital.

In May 2023, based on these powers of attorney, the fraudster "purchased" an apartment in Darnytsia from her accomplice.

Furthermore, in June 2023, using a similar scheme involving this woman, they attempted to "sell" another apartment in the Darnytsia district of Kyiv, but the notary uncovered their intentions and called the police.

The accused fully admitted to the charges brought against her, provided incriminating testimony regarding her accomplice, and agreed to transfer a bail amount exceeding 800,000 hryvnias to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The accused has been sentenced to five years in prison with a two-year probation period. Judicial proceedings against her accomplice, who remains in custody, are ongoing.
