Sociologists conducted a survey
The vast majority of Ukrainians (56%) will celebrate both Christmas and New Year this year.
These findings are presented by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation based on public opinion research.
According to the survey results, only 11 percent of respondents will celebrate Christmas alone, while just 4 percent will celebrate New Year.
At the same time, 11 percent of the surveyed citizens will not celebrate either of the mentioned holidays, and 18 percent are still undecided.
Most of those who will celebrate at least one of the holidays plan to do so with others (88%), while 7 percent of Ukrainians intend to celebrate alone.
The survey was conducted from November 29 to December 14, 2024. A total of 1,518 respondents aged 18 and older were interviewed face-to-face in regions controlled by the Ukrainian government, where no active hostilities are taking place. The statistical sampling error does not exceed 2.6 percent.
As a reminder, according to the results of the sociological survey, 50 percent of Ukrainians assess their family welfare level as "neither bad nor good," 31 percent as "good," and 16 percent described their level of prosperity as "very good."
