An event will take place at the monastery walls
On the eve of the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, on February 23, a ceremony titled “Bell of Memory and Hope: 11 Years of War” will be held at the National Preserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.” This event will serve as a reminder of the Ukrainians who are imprisoned, missing, or have fallen victim to forced deportations.

This information was reported by the press service of the Preserve.
“The Bell of Memory and Hope will increase its strikes to 11, as the war in Ukraine has now lasted for 11 years. Families of the prisoners of war will join the ceremony,” stated the staff of the museum complex.
They also mentioned that the ceremony will begin with a liturgy at the Refectory Church, conducted by Bishop Avraamiy, the abbot of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Following this, there will be the weekly Sunday event “Don’t Be Silent! Captivity Kills” outside the Lavra walls, organized by the Association of Families of Defenders of “Azovstal,” to once again remind everyone about the Ukrainians waiting for their return from Russian captivity.
Reminder: On February 5, as part of a prisoner exchange, 108 servicemen returned from captivity.
