Young men face a lengthy prison sentence
In the Podil district of the capital, police apprehended two friends who, while under the influence of alcohol, damaged seven cars.
This information was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Kyiv.
According to law enforcement, reports from local residents indicated that two unidentified individuals were tearing off license plates from parked vehicles and using them to strike other cars.
Officers established that the crime was committed by two friends and colleagues, aged 18 and 23, who live on a nearby street.
It was revealed that the young men had been drinking and then decided to "have some fun." As a result, seven parked cars sustained scratches and dents.
Both detainees have been notified of their suspicion of committing a crime under part 2 of Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The penalty for this article includes imprisonment for up to four years.
Recall that in one of the supermarkets in the Dnipro district of the capital, four intoxicated young men provoked a fight with customers and were detained.
