The number of cases for unpaid fines in Ukraine has increased by a third

Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, and Odesa are among the top three regions with the highest number of drivers who persistently evade paying fines for violating traffic regulations.

This information was reported by opendatabot.

It is noted that 10.4 percent of all debts for unpaid fines were recorded in Dnipropetrovsk. Almost the same amount (10.3%) of cases have been opened in the capital. Odesa rounds out the top three with 7.8 percent of unpaid fines.

Overall, experts observe a 33 percent increase in the number of cases for unpaid fines across the country. At the same time, 83 percent of debtors last year were men. Nearly half of the cases involve men aged 25-45. The share of violations among women is also rising: while in 2021 only 9 percent of such cases were recorded, now it stands at 17.

We remind you that residents of Kyiv are calling on the city authorities to instruct the relevant authorized bodies to increase the number of video cameras on the city roads to capture speeding violations and the use of public transport lanes by private vehicles.
