In Kyiv, only five officials from the city government structures received reprimands last year. Two individuals were deprived of bonuses and allowances
In 2024, materials regarding 97 audit subjects were handed over to law enforcement agencies. This is mentioned in the Report on the results of the activities of the Department of Internal Control and Audit of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) in 2024.
According to the department, last year 254 criminal proceedings were registered based on audit results. Auditors claim that "as a result of cooperation with law enforcement agencies, 94 notices of suspicion were prepared for all criminal proceedings." Indictments for 42 cases have been submitted to court. Seven officials have been held accountable, and five have received reprimands. Two individuals were deprived of bonuses and allowances.
As previously reported by Kashtan NEWS, most of the subjects of anti-corruption investigations are heads at various levels. The total amount of damages in criminal proceedings last year was 554 million hryvnias.
In 2023, the prosecutor's office submitted materials for 80 criminal proceedings to the court concerning 97 defendants, including 49 officials from the KCSA and municipal enterprises (45 of whom are in management positions). The budget incurred losses amounting to 510 million hryvnias.
According to the prosecutor's office, last year criminal offenses were detected in various sectors: road management, transport infrastructure, landscaping, improvement, housing management, medical, educational, ritual sectors, and municipal safety. In other words, theft, abuse of office, and dubious combinations are occurring almost everywhere.
It should be noted that in the structure of monetary payments to KCSA officials, besides allowances for rank, years of service, bonuses, and compensation for unused vacation, there is an important item that is always considered. This is the right to material assistance for solving social and household issues. Consequently, all department heads at KCSA receive this assistance regularly, amounting to between 60,000 to 70,000 (once a year).
