The majority of patients continue to be children
From February 17 to 23, 16,471 people in Kyiv were diagnosed with influenza and ARVI.

This represents an increase of 8.2 percent compared to the previous week, reports the Kyiv City Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
“The weekly incidence rate is 1.4 times lower than the epidemic threshold,” the Center's specialists note.
As before, children make up the majority of cases (9,569 cases, which is a 1.2% decrease from the previous period). At the same time, there is a rising trend in illness among adults: compared to the previous week, it has increased by 24.7 percent (6,902 cases).
In total, 468 patients with influenza and ARVI were hospitalized during the week, including 321 children.
