Renowned music expert, editor, and producer has given an interview
In the past three years, Ukraine has witnessed an unprecedented revival of its music scene, with new young talented artists emerging who deserve recognition.
This was shared with journalists by Sania Dymov, music editor of M1, producer, host, and DJ, during an interview for the YouTube project “Kashtan. Interview”.
“In the last three years, we have observed a crazy renaissance of Ukrainian music,” Dymov stated.
According to him, there are currently many artists in the domestic music industry whose work should be celebrated.
“As they say, if it were up to me, I would play all their music videos, and they would be on air constantly, but unfortunately, that’s not possible at all,” Dymov shared his thoughts.
At the same time, he noted positively that the organizers of music competitions, such as the “Muzvar” award, are focusing on youth.
“We don’t have that many popular artists – just a dozen people who attend the same shows and constantly hold concerts. We see them in the media all the time, and that’s basically normal. This is a skeleton that everyone is used to and loves in the entertainment industry. But especially during the war, I began to feel the value of something I hadn’t felt before. That is – new artists,” the music critic pointed out.
In this context, Dymov emphasized:
“We are living in a war, don’t forget about that, but we have music. We have talented artists.”
