A refinery in the Rostov region is on fire after being attacked by drones.

A massive fire broke out at the Atlas oil refinery located in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov region, Russia. Reports indicate that drones attacked the facility, with Ukraine being blamed for the assault.

Russian Telegram channels are reporting on the shelling of an oil refinery.

The acting governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, stated that firefighters are battling a large blaze at an industrial facility, although he did not specify which particular enterprise is involved.

Previously, he claimed that the region is being heavily attacked by supposedly Ukrainian drones, and that Russian air defense shot down 30 unmanned aerial vehicles.

Additionally, there were reports online about an attack on the Tuapse oil refinery in the Krasnodar region of Russia.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the alleged destruction of 47 drones that were supposedly used by Ukraine to attack Russia. Official Kyiv has not commented on this incident.

It is worth noting that the "Atlas" oil refinery was previously targeted by Ukrainian drones—in August, it was hit by soldiers from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. The Tuapse refinery has also already been attacked by Ukrainian drones, as it was struck at the end of July this year.
