Russia announced its capture of the village of Dvurechnaya in the Kharkiv region, but the regional military administration has denied this claim.

Russians announced the capture of the village of Dvurechne in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region. This claim has been denied by officials in Ukraine.
Россия сообщила о захвате поселка Двуречная в Харьковской области, однако местные власти опровергли эту информацию.

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Sinegubov, as conveyed by "Ukrinform".

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed in a report on the morning of January 28 that they had allegedly captured a settlement. The head of the ministry, Andrey Belousov, even congratulated the soldiers on their “successful completion of combat tasks”.

At the same time, Sinegubov stated that there are no grounds to claim the occupation of Dvurechne.

“This is not the first such statement (by the Russian Ministry of Defense — ed.); it has already appeared in Russian media, it is purely propaganda, and it diverges from reality,” the head of the OVA declared.

Overall, the official noted that the Kupiansk and Borivske directions are currently more challenging than the northern part of the Kharkiv region. Active fighting continues in the Dvurechne area, and the territory of combat operations is expanding.

Sinegubov emphasized that the evacuation from the most dangerous areas is proceeding at a much slower pace than desired. People are reluctant to leave their homes, and on average, only about 50 residents can be evacuated per day.
