Air defense intercepted over 30 Russian drones targeting Ukraine.

On the night of January 10, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using 72 Shahed strike drones and various types of drone decoys. The air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 33 enemy targets.

This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The enemy launched drones from the directions of Millerovo, Oryol, Bryansk, and Primorsk-Akhtarsk, located in Russia. The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and Defense Forces.

As a result of combat operations, 33 "Shahed" drones and UAVs of other types were shot down in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, and Kherson regions.

Another 34 enemy imitation drones were lost to radar detection, and one of them was headed towards Russia.

Consequences of the Attack

In Kyiv, debris from a downed drone hit a multi-story building in the Solomianskyi district. Fortunately, there were no casualties; however, the building's glazing and six vehicles sustained damage.

In Chernihiv region, the enemy once again attacked Semenivka, resulting in injuries to an elderly woman. She was hospitalized in a nearby district hospital. Additionally, two houses were damaged, and non-residential buildings caught fire.
