Orban has once again called for lifting sanctions on Russia, stating that the time for change has arrived.

He stated this on his page in X.

According to him, the sanctions imposed against Russia have allegedly destroyed the competitiveness of the European economy.

“Have they brought the war to an end? No. Have they harmed the Russian economy? No. Has Europe managed to replace Russian energy with other available sources? No (…) The time for change has come!” — emphasized Orban.

Recall that earlier Orban mentioned that Brussels needs to adapt to the new situation.

“It’s time for us to throw the sanctions out the window and establish non-sanctioned relations with the Russians. This is a bit far off, but we need to work on it,” — he stated.

In his opinion, the danger of war will “significantly recede” with Trump’s presidency, while the next “biggest source of danger” is allegedly the prices of energy resources.
